Effective management for evacuation of passengers with Hammar ERRS
The Hammar Electronic Remote Release System (ERRS) is operated via an electronic control panel that activates one or several electric Hammar H20 Remote Release Units. When the unit is activated it operates in the same way as the vacuum operated remote release unit.
The ERRS system can be controlled from several remote release positions by adding one or several control panels to the master control panel and is offering a very flexible system for the management of the safety appliances onboard. The ERRS system is powered by the ship's emergency power supply. Each control panel is also equipped with a back-up battery to guarantee operation in all emergency situations.
The ERRS system performs automatically a complete system test once every hour. This system has no limitation in installation length.
The ERRS system is easy to operate and install, saves space and is very flexible, thus giving an effective management for fast evacuation of a large number of passengers.
NOTE: In all liferaft systems it is important to ensure free float function in all conditions and as the liferafts must be connected to the ship via its painter line and a strong point (such as the deck) it is necessary to have a standard Hammar H20 hydrostatic release unit as well. This could be a separate unit or in combination with the remote release unit. Further information can always be obtained from CM Hammar AB.
